RELEASE NOTES

Kurupt is set to release his new album ‘Down And Dirty’ on February 9th via
Death Row Records / Wide Awake Entertainment. The compilation features 17
rare recordings from the Dogg Pound artist and 4 unreleased tracks from
‘The Row Era’. Some of Death Row’s underground favorites KoKane,
Young Tone, Danny Boy, and Petey Pablo.

In 1992, Kurupt debuted his hard-core rap style which combined east coast
lyricism over signature west coast beats on Dr. Dre’s album ‘The Chronic’.
The Dogg Pound member then went on to release his first studio LP ‘Dogg
Food’ with counterpart Daz Dillinger, in which 4,000,000 copies have
been sold to date.

█ remastered again for 2009. This differs in bitrates from the 2001 remastered
█ that was released then, and the 1992 original release, which leads us to
█ believe it's been remastered again for 2009. We quote from John Payne of

█ "We're re-releasing "The Chronic," and it's going to be called, "The Chronic
█ Relit." It will be remastered with a couple more songs that were done at that
█ same time as well as a lot of footage and artwork. We're remastering it so

█ We included the bitrates of our internal 2001 remaster VBR using LAME -V2
